South African Fintech App Minit Money Opens Remittance Border to Enable Zambians to Send Money Home

South African remittance Fintech app that helps users to send money from South Africa across African countries, Minit Money, has opened remittance to Zambians in South Africa, to enable them to send money back home.

The roll-out of the South Africa-to-Zambia corridor is poised to offer substantial cost savings to users, enhance transfer speeds, and deliver a seamless user journey for Zambian residents residing in South Africa.

Speaking on the launch, Minit Money co-founder and CEO Angus Brown, said,

“We’re delighted to announce the launch of Minit Money’s ability to serve the Zambian diaspora community in South Africa. We have experienced significant growth in our existing corridors of Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Cameroon, Senegal, Benin, Ivory Coast, and Kenya, and the Zambia launch marks our first foray into the Southern Africa region”.

Launched in 2019, Minit Money is a mobile app that enables users to send money from South Africa to several African countries in minutes. The platform was created by Africans for Africans to help them support their loved ones back home. 

The startup recognized the challenges life posed for people who have started life in another country, and how important the emotional ties are back to the homeland.

Minit money offers users better rates and flat sending fees  which is safe and reliable. The remittance-focused fintech app is focused on serving a niche market to help deliver the best services to users. It is easy to use and only takes minutes when users send money to their loved ones back home. 

Minit Money currently offers remittance services to several African countries which includes, Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Uganda, and now Zambia, with plans to expand to more countries soon.
