Nigerian Fintech Startup Paystack Introduces Pay with Apple Pay in South Africa And Côte d’Ivoire

Nigerian financial technology company that offers payment processing services to businesses, Paystack, has introduced “Pay with Apple Pay” payment feature in South Africa and Côte d’Ivoire, allowing users to make payments on iOS apps and the web via Safari.

With Apple Pay, users can accept payments quickly and securely from millions of Apple Pay users in the 60+ countries where Apple Pay is supported, including the USA, UK, and Canada.

By enabling Pay with Apple Pay, users can automatically improve their business reach, and enable payments via a fast, easy, and secure method that’s native to millions of Apple users across the world.

In Côte d’Ivoire, customers paying with an international-issued card who have Apple Pay enabled on their Apple devices will automatically see the option to checkout using Apple Pay and can complete the transaction using Touch ID or Face ID.

In South Africa, customers paying with either international or local-issued cards, who have Apple Pay enabled on their Apple devices, will automatically see the option to checkout using Apple Pay, and can complete the transaction using Touch ID or Face ID.

Paystack launch of the “Pay with Apple Pay” payment feature in South Africa and Côte d’Ivoire, is coming two years after the company rolled out the payment feature in Nigeria and a year after in Ghana.

With the “Pay with Apple Pay” payment feature, Paystack aims to connect businesses with international customers which will boost businesses’ international sales, enabling simplicity and convenience.
