Fintech Association of Kenya Welcomes Frank Molla to Advisory Board

The Fintech Association of Kenya (FINTAK) has announced the appointment of the Managing Director of MDP Africa, Frank Molla, to its advisory board for a two-year term. 

Molla who has two decades of experience in the payments industry across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, brings his expertise to the association, contributing to its success through thought leadership and sustainability initiatives.

His extensive experience includes notable positions at Barclays Bank (now Absa), MasterCard, and American Express, where he played key roles in supporting operations and expansion across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

In his advisory role, Molla’s focus will be on fortifying market expansion, driving technological innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering community engagement and financial literacy. His profound knowledge will play a crucial role in guiding Kenyan fintech startups as they navigate global market expansion, establish international partnerships, and advocate for conducive regulatory frameworks.

Commenting on his appointment Molla said,

“It’s an honor, to join the industry-shaping & recognized Fintech Association of Kenya. I will actively contribute to its success through thought leadership, advocacy, meaningful financial wellness and sustainability initiatives together with other payments leaders from Africa.”

Also speaking, the Chairperson of the Fintech Association Of Kenya Duncun Motanya said, 

“Frank Molla’s expertise is a tremendous asset to our organization. His insights will be invaluable as we drive growth, foster international partnerships, and create a conducive environment for fintech innovation in Kenya.”

Molla’s appointment is a key component of the Fintech Association of Kenya’s overarching objective to cultivate an environment conducive to innovation and to elevate the visibility and advocacy endeavors of the fintech community in Kenya.
