Mastercard And OPay Extend Partnership to Offer Customized Banking Solutions in Egypt

Mastercard has extended its strategic partnership with fintech solutions provider OPay, to provide innovative customized banking solutions to meet the Egyptian market’s needs.

In order to promote OPay’s expansion in the Egyptian market, Mastercard will offer advisory services via its team of advisors to further leverage the digital banking products and financial services sector.

This collaboration is an extension of the previous one, which aimed to promote digital financial inclusion. Recall that both companies announced a strategic partnership in May 2022, to grow a cashless ecosystem and advance digital financial inclusion for millions.

The collaboration enables OPay consumers and merchants in the region – including Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, South Africa and the UAE – to engage with brands and businesses anywhere across the globe, thanks to a Mastercard virtual payment solution linked to the OPay eWallet.
