GTBank to Migrate Core Banking System, Temporary Service Interruptions Announced

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has informed customers of an upcoming core banking system migration, which will result in temporary service disruptions. The transition to a new and enhanced Finacle Core Banking Application System will begin on Friday, October 11, 2024, and is expected to be completed by Monday, October 14, 2024.
In a notice issued by the bank, all GTBank branches across the country will close early at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11th, and reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14th. Additionally, there will be a disruption to the bank’s digital services for 11 hours, starting from 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13th, until 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14th.
During this time, customers will still be able to conduct limited transactions through GTBank’s digital platforms, such as transfers, bill payments, and airtime/data purchases, though other services will be unavailable.
