PayMint Launches Meeza Prepaid Cards in Egypt With ADIB
Egyptian fintech PayMint has received final approval from the Central Bank of Egypt to launch its first “Meeza” prepaid cards in partnership with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB).
The new Meeza cards will allow PayMint customers to make purchases, withdraw cash, and shop online within Egypt. Cardholders will be able to monitor usage, check balances, and manage their cards through the PayMint mobile application.
This launch aligns with the Central Bank of Egypt’s efforts to foster financial inclusion by collaborating with fintechs. It supports the transition to a cashless society by offering digital solutions that meet customer needs.
Mohamed Aly, CEO and managing director of ADIB in Egypt, stated that the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to adopting advanced, Islamic-compliant technology solutions to empower customers.
