The Bank of Ghana Grants Approval to RightCard to Operate Remittance Services to Ghana

RightCard Payment Services Limited, also known as LemFi, has received approval from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to resume its remittance services to Ghana in collaboration with approved partners.

This decision aligns with RightCard’s commitment to providing secure and efficient services in compliance with the regulatory framework established by the Bank of Ghana. RightCard officially announced the resumption of its services to Ghana on Monday, February 5, following a temporary suspension of its money transfer services in November 2023.

RightCard Payment Services Limited (LemFi) is now permitted to resume its operations in Ghana through approved payment companies, specifically BigPay and ExpressPay. LemFi, offering innovative services and products through the LemFi app across different markets, is already licensed as an Electronic Money Institution by the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom.

Precious Ama Kwartemaa Oduro, LemFi’s Country Manager, expressed gratitude to the Bank of Ghana and partners for their roles in the service restoration, stating, “We resume our operations with a better understanding, and we are now better positioned to address the evolving needs of the Ghanaian market.”

LemFi’s reintroduction to Ghana emphasizes an enhanced focus on customer satisfaction, strengthening partnerships with essential stakeholders, and a dedicated commitment to advancing financial inclusion. Existing and potential customers can now benefit from LemFi’s competitive exchange rates, zero transaction fees, and instant transfer delivery by downloading the app from the iOS or Google Play Store.
