Kuda Business Unveils Virtual and Physical POS Solutions to Streamline Payments for Nigerian SMEs

Kuda, through its Kuda Business platform, has launched new virtual and physical point-of-sale (POS) solutions aimed at simplifying payment processing for freelancers, small businesses, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

These innovations are designed to help businesses accept payments faster while tackling common challenges like delayed payment confirmations and fragmented banking services.

The Virtual POS allows businesses to process payments using account numbers, eliminating the need for physical POS hardware. This cost-effective solution enables business owners to create multiple free terminal account numbers, which can be assigned to sales staff. When customers make payments, sales personnel receive instant payment confirmations via email, text, or directly on their phones.

The physical POS devices support card payments and bank transfers, providing instant settlement so businesses can access their funds immediately after transactions.

Nosa Oyegun, Vice President of Product and Innovation at Kuda, emphasized the importance of these solutions for Nigerian SMEs.

He said,

“Our goal is to empower SMEs with tools that not only simplify payment processes but also enhance overall business efficiency. The virtual POS, in particular, eliminates the need for hardware while ensuring instant payment alerts, making it a cost-effective solution for businesses looking to scale. Meanwhile, our hardware POS offers speed and reliability for face-to-face transactions.”

The launch of these POS solutions highlights Kuda Business’ commitment to supporting the growth and operational efficiency of Nigerian SMEs.
